Benefits:
- Competitive salary
Tampa Bay International School, a small, private Spanish immersion PK - 8 school in Clearwater, Florida, seeks substitute teachers to carry out instruction of students when regular classroom teachers are absent. Successful candidates must be patient, creative, enthusiastic and flexible people. They should enjoy working with children of diverse backgrounds and ideally, have experience instructing students in an educational setting. Substitute teaching could lead to permanent positions. Substitute teaching is a good way for teachers to get their foot in the door and see if a school is a good fit for them.
Tampa Bay International School is a bilingual school in which instruction is split evenly between English and Spanish. Instruction is held in English on English days (Mondays & Wednesdays and every other Friday) and in Spanish on Spanish days (Tuesdays & Thursdays and every other Friday.) A substitute teacher does not necessarily have to be bilingual, but speaking both English and Spanish will mean a substitute teacher will be asked to fill in for regular teachers more often.

About Us
Tampa Bay International School began as a Spanish immersion after school program and summer camp in 2019. We proudly welcomed our school’s inaugural class of 14 students in the Fall of 2020. After a successful first year, TBIS has enjoyed steady growth over the past two school years. Our school has more than doubled and then tripled in size, with additional students and families that share our passion for a global approach to learning joining us each year.
